images-131

WSU President Elson S. Floyd visited the state capitol on February 18th to testify before the Senate Ways & Means committee on SB 5487, a piece of legislation that would amend a nearly 100-year old statute and give WSU the clearance to establish a medical school.

The hearing is another step in the legislative process to gain policy approval for expansion of medical education opportunities in the state. For more information on the need for family physicians, why WSU is ready to offer another public medical school, and other pertinent information, please see new information located in Grassroots Resources on your WSU Impact personal home page.
