Giving Thanks for Lawmakers Who Support WSU & Its Mission

This Thanksgiving, the alumni, students, parents, neighbors, and fans of Washington State University want to thank our legislators in Olympia for their continued support of higher education, WSU, and its system of campuses across our state.

When we choose to actively support WSU, we invest in our collective future, as well as in the present, by nurturing the very real educational and research benefits that our statewide campuses, 11 colleges, and Extension services offer.

With campuses located in Pullman, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, and Everett, as well as dozens of degree programs available online through the WSU Global campus, WSU meets students where they are.  WSU produces graduates who are career-ready and poised to be influential members of their chosen profession. The university’s system is an essential part of the community tapestry.

These campuses provide jobs and economic stability, present cultural activities, extend innovation and research, and allow students to learn, discover, grow and thrive.

In cities like Pullman and Tri-Cities, Washington State University’s students and academic leaders are producing top-tier, cutting-edge research and offering real-world solutions that help bolster our agricultural sector and support the physical and life sciences.

In Vancouver and Everett, WSU is integrally engaged in the regions’ advanced manufacturing and engineering sectors. In Spokane, the school’s health sciences campus is dedicated to preparing physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to serve our state’s residents and conducting research to tackle global challenges in human health. Each and every campus, with its classrooms and laboratories, serves its community, creating a ripple effect that would not be possible without the support of the legislature.

Thank you to our lawmakers for your continued encouragement and support in the mission of Washington State University.

Together, we make this a great state.
